Shhhhhh.... It's a Surprise!
You have found the love of your life and want to plan the perfect surprise engagement . . .
and you want me to be there, hiding to capture it!
Here are my top tips for how to pull off the surprise of a lifetime!
1. Contact Me Early!
I book clients weeks and sometimes months in advance so I want to be sure and have space for you! Sometimes we need to shift the date and I want to be as involved as I can be to make this day perfect.
2. Change My Contact Name
One of my clients had the genius idea to change my contact name to "Potential Spam" and it was the best thing! This way as we communicated, his girlfriend had no idea that he was messaging me planning their special day. It helped keep everything a grand surprise!
3. Communicate All Expectations
This is your proposal, not mine! It is important that we follow your plan exactly as you'd like it to be. Some partners want the actual proposal photographed and other prefer the privacy. I have hidden in bleachers, in a bush, and I've run up to them after they said yes in their own space. I have had some clients want the engagement proposed and nothing else. I have also had other clients want the proposal and a full engagement session to follow. All of these are possible as it ultimately is up to you!
4. Create a Firm Schedule
I will be arriving to hide and need to know just where I need to be and when. Sometimes it can be helpful to even share your location with me for that day so I can follow you without you seeing me. If I don't know where to be at the perfect moment, I may miss it and that would be so sad.
5. Enjoy This Moment!
You are proposing!!! Let me take the pressure of capturing that lovely moment as you speak your truth to the love of your life. This moment goes by so fast that my husband says he doesn't remember any of it! Let me help you remember it all!
