A Sweet Celebration for a Spirited Little Girl

On July 19, 2025, the studio was filled with laughter, balloons, and the scent of freshly baked cake as we celebrated Chessy’s first birthday. With her bright red curls and sparkling eyes, she brought an extra dose of joy to her Signature Session.


We began with classic portraits, capturing her personality in all its charm—playful grins, curious looks, and the way she clutched her favorite toy between shots. Then came the main event: the cake smash. I love offering to source the cake for my clients so that all they have to do is arrive and enjoy the experience.


Chessy dove right in, frosting on her cheeks, hands, and just about everywhere else. There’s something magical about a one-year-old’s curiosity—it’s unfiltered, messy, and absolutely perfect. These moments aren’t just about the cake; they’re about celebrating a whole year of growth, love, and discovery.


First birthdays are more than milestones—they’re a celebration of the journey parents and children have taken together. For Chessy’s family, these portraits will forever hold the joy, chaos, and sweetness of this fleeting stage.
