Outdoor Portraits in Buena Vista


On August 23, 2025, I met Kylie and Curtis at a private family home in Buena Vista, Winston Salem, for their newborn session. Their little boy, Elliott Todd, was three weeks old and surrounded by the love of extended family visiting from near and far.

Unlike many newborn sessions, they wanted to incorporate the outdoors.


The gardens of the family home provided a breathtaking backdrop for portraits filled with natural light and Southern charm. Elliott was calm, curious, and perfect in every way—his little details lovingly captured against the backdrop of a place rich with family history.


Outdoor newborn portraits are a beautiful reminder that there are no rules when it comes to documenting new life.

For Elliott’s family, the choice of location made these images even more meaningful—a connection not only to him, but to the generations who have called this place home.
