The Quiet Anticipation of First-Time Motherhood

On July 9, 2025, Lexi and her husband joined me in the studio for a maternity session marking one of life’s most beautiful turning points—the wait for their first baby. This was the first chapter in their Motherhood Collection, soon to be followed by their newborn session.


The atmosphere was peaceful and simple, the kind of stillness that comes before a new life changes everything. Lexi’s glow was unmistakable, and her husband’s quiet support and pride showed in every frame. We kept the styling classic and timeless, focusing on the connection between them as they prepare to step into parenthood together.


For first-time parents, these moments are filled with both excitement and reflection—an awareness that life will soon be wonderfully different. Lexi and her husband embraced that feeling fully, making this session not just about anticipation, but about gratitude for the journey they’ve begun.


There’s something profoundly beautiful about capturing a couple in the season before they become a family of three. These images will forever remind them of who they were before parenthood, and how love grew between them long before they met their baby.
