Keepsake Collection: Part 1
Annie Lievens Photography

There’s something about a maternity session that feels like the very first page of a family’s new chapter. This evening with Iris and Matt was just that — calm, filled with love, and wrapped in anticipation.
We met at Reynolda Gardens and wandered through the quiet paths, soaking in the soft evening light. The rain had been forecasted all day, but like magic, it held off until the very end — just long enough to give us the most beautiful sky and gentle calm that matched their energy so perfectly.
Iris and Matt are expecting their first baby — a boy — and you could feel the love already forming around him. From the way Matt looked at Iris to the way she gently rested her hands on her growing belly, this session was about more than documenting pregnancy. It was about honoring the beginning of a legacy.
The grounds at Reynolda House Museum of American Art offered timeless backdrops, full of texture and history — a perfect match for the meaningful portrait style we created together. Everything about the session felt intentional, quiet, and full of promise.
This is Part One of a four-part Keepsake Collection — a full year of documenting their journey from expecting parents to a family of three. I’m so honored to be a part of telling their story.

Next Up: Baby Hudson’s Newborn Session
Stay tuned for Part 2 of the Keepsake Collection series — a peaceful in-home newborn session with baby Hudson that captures all the softness and wonder of their first days together.
