There’s something especially sweet about photographing a child who already feels like family. Emilia, one of my daughter’s best friends, joined me in the studio for her Heritage Heirloom Portrait Session — and it was pure magic.


At 3 years old, Emilia is full of grace and gentle energy. She’s the kind of child who takes a moment to warm up, and then suddenly opens into the happiest little friend — soft, smiley, and full of joy. Her curly red hair framed her face like something out of a storybook, and the way she lit up in her “fancy dress” made her glow even more.


What made this session especially sweet was that my daughter stood right beside me, cheering her on and helping her smile. The two of them giggled and whispered, and that little layer of comfort and friendship

brought out Emilia’s most natural, joyful self.


In the quiet light of the studio, we captured her just as she is — happy, tender, growing, and beautifully three.
