Awaiting a Beautiful Surprise


On August 15, 2025, I had the joy of photographing Melissa and Alex at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC as they prepare to welcome their first baby—a gender surprise! Both chiropractors, they’ve been pouring their hearts into their work and now into their growing family. For me, this session was extra meaningful, as Melissa has been my chiropractor since my son was born over two years ago. To care for her family with my photography after all the ways she’s cared for mine felt like such a gift.


The morning light at Tanglewood Park created a warm glow that perfectly framed their excitement.

We kept the session natural and relaxed, capturing not just portraits of Melissa, but also tender moments between her and Alex as they anticipate the new chapter ahead.


Every maternity session is a reminder that motherhood is both universal and uniquely personal. For Melissa and Alex, these portraits will always represent a season of waiting, hope, and love—a legacy they’ll one day share with their child.
